Meet Sarah

…I live just steps from where I work—and I love it. There’s nothing better than creating meaningful images for children, seniors, and families one minute, and being home with my own family the next. For me, it’s the perfect balance.

…Family matters deeply to me. I absolutely love what I do, but I’m not a photographer who works late into the night on a regular basis. I work hard—really hard—but when it’s family time, my computer gets shut off and work stays behind. Being present in my families lives will always matter more to me than any photograph I could ever take.

…I hate wearing socks. I know this is a bold statement for someone living in Minnesota, but here we are. If the weather is even close to warm enough (and sometimes when it’s not), I’m barefoot.

…I love, love, love to travel. Road trips, flights to random locales, or even a slow drive around our area on a warm, sunny day—I’m all in. My dream version of retirement involves traveling to every corner of the globe. So far I’ve made it to Italy, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Ireland, Jamaica, Mexico, and Canada—and I can’t wait to add many more to that list. Anytime I see a plane in the sky, I wonder where the lucky people inside are headed.

…I’ve been a professional photographer since 2005, a Certified Professional Photographer since 2017, and a Master Photographer since 2019. I’m deeply committed to continuing education and always refining my craft—because learning never really stops.

…I’m a songwriter. I’m working hard at becoming a really great one. So far, several artists have released my songs including one that made it onto SiriusXM Radio, which feels crazy. Some songs of mine have also appeared in TV shows, a Tubi Original movie (Worth the Wait), and a national TV special (A National Salute to America’s Heros), with more songs currently being pitched to country artists and other tv, film and ad opportunities. Wherever this dream leads, it’s been incredibly fun to chase.

…I’m endlessly fascinated by the sky. At night. During storms. Covered in clouds during the day. If I seem distracted, there’s a good chance I’m staring upward when I should be paying attention to something else.

…Oh—and one more thing. I LOVE ellipses. I absolutely overuse them. Need…I…say…more???
