Sarah Peterson, M.Photog., CPP
I’m a professional photographer, but I want to be so much more for you and your family.
I want to help you capture and preserve just exactly what you, your family, your high school senior are like right now. I want to help show the love, the craziness, the joy. I want to get to know you and your family. More than anything I want to create portrait art for you to enjoy for years to come…long after this beautiful moment has passed us by.
I’ve included a few fun facts about me below in case you’re curious.

One of the perks of being a professional photographer is having photo shoots with amazing photographer friends.
Why me?
I invest a lot of time and energy in being the best photographer I can be. A great photographic experience from start to finish is my number one priority. I am always trying to learn and grow as a photographer. Here are a few of the highlights:
- In 2019 I earned my Master Photographer degree through the Professional Photographers of America.
- I am a Certified Professional Photographer through the Professional Photographers of America. This means I am:
- Committed to my Clients – I strive to provide a comprehensive client experience and demonstrate continual professional development through recertification every 3 years.
- A Technical Expert – I understand the technical aspects of photography, composition, digital/post-production, etc.
- A Member of PPA – I belong to the largest and most respected nonprofit association for professional photographers.
- Ethical – I abide by the code of ethics, standards of best business practices and quality client services of PPA.

- Print competition is an important part of my learning and growth as a photographer. I have been competing in the International Photographic Competition through PPA since 2014. The best of the best images are designated as loan images and are put in the prestigious loan collection.
- I am constantly continuing my education attending workshops around the country learning from the world’s top photographers.
- I am dedicated to you from the first call to the end result of stunning portrait art ready to beautify your home.
Who am I?
Here are a few things you may or may not know about me…
…I live steps from where I work…and I love it. I couldn’t imagine anything better than working with children, seniors, and families to create amazing images one minute…and being home with my family the next. It’s perfect for me.
…Family is very important to me. I absolutely LOVE what I do, but I am not one of those photographers that works late into the night on a regular basis. I work very hard, don’t get me wrong, but I when it’s family time my computer gets shut off & I leave my work behind. Being present in my kids lives is more important to me than any picture I could ever take.
…I hate wearing socks. I know this is odd since Minnesota is my home, but it is what it is. Whenever the weather is even close to warm enough, and some times even when it’s now, I’m in sandals.
…I love, love, love to travel…so 2020 has pretty rough, but I’ll get back to it soon and will appreciate it all the more. I love everything about traveling. Long road trips, flights to random locals, even just driving around our area on warm sunny days. My perfect version of retirement would be one with me traveling to all corners of the globe. The world is full of amazing places and interesting people and I can’t wait to discover them all. Whenever I see a plane in the sky I wonder where the lucky people in it are heading.
…I have been Professional Photographer since 2005, a Certified Professional Photographer since 2017 and a Master Photographer since 2019. I am committed to constantly learning and gaining additional skills and techniques.
…I am a songwriter. I’m working hard at becoming a really great songwriter. We’ll see where that dream leads.
…I am mesmerized by the sky…at night…in a storm…covered by clouds in the day…I am often staring at the sky when I should be paying attention to other things.
…Oh, one more thing…I love the ellipses and overuse it all the time. Need…I…say…more???
