I love working with high school seniors. I get them at the very beginning of a huge year in their life. They are in the process of making all sorts of decisions about where they’re going & what they will do next. It’s so great to get to know them better throughout the year. I’m always curious about the people they are becoming. New this year I decided to do senior spotlights for the graduating class.
For this first Senior Spotlight I got in touch with Alexis. When she came in for her pre-session consultation I saw immediately how much she loved animals, especially her horse. I knew immediately it was going to be an amazing session. Now, months later I was wondering “what next?” Here’s what she had to say:
- What will you miss most about high school?
I will miss the close knit community I had the pleasure of growing up in.
- What teacher will you miss the most? Why?
I will miss all of my teachers because they all challenged me and helped me grow as a person.
- What‟s one high school memory you‟ll never forget?
One memory that I will never forget was getting my 1000th set assist in volleyball my junior year of high school.
- What was your best excuse for being late to class?
I was a goodie-two-shoe, I have never been late or tardy to any class.
- What are you looking forward to most after graduation?
I am looking forward to my independence as a person.
- What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to attend Rochester Community and Technical College to get my generals done. Then I am transferring to Montana State University – Bozeman. I am majoring in Agribusiness and Animal Science.
- Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
I see myself working in Montana at a bank or financial institution as a credit lender/loan officer with an agriculture background.
- What is the best advice you could give to underclassman?
Make sure to figure out what your passionate about and pursue a career that incorporates those passions.
Congratulations, Lexi! I wish you all the best as you pursue your dreams!
